Having assessed load of courts and number of cases, the Council for the Judiciary agreed to proposal of the Ministry of Justice to annex one judge’s office from Ludza district court, which has been vacant for a long period of time, and one vacant judge’s office from Kraslava district court to Riga city Latgale suburb court.

One judge’s office which has been vacant in Latgale regional court since 1 October, in turn, would be annexed to Riga city Vidzeme suburb court.
