Judicial system

There are a total of eight (district) city courts in Latvia::

• Riga City Court

• Riga District Court

• Zemgale District Court

• Vidzeme District Court

• Kurzeme District Court

• Latgale District Court

• Economic Affairs Court

• District Administrative Court

The basis of operation of district (city) courts is defined in the Constitution of the Republic of Latvia, while the competence of district (city) courts is defined in the Law ,,On Judicial Power''. Information about district (city) courts is available on the Latvian court portal www.tiesas.lv.
