17 July, 2017
On 17 July 2017, the ENCJ (European Network of Councils for the Judiciary) Executive Board published a statement on the situation in Poland, in which it expressed concerns about the reforms carried out by the Polish Parliament.
The ENCJ Executive Board is in great disarray when it comes to the fact that the lower house and the upper house of the Polish Parliament have approved two reforms that have been severly criticized over the past year. In addition, a draft law was proposed last week to influence the composition of the Supreme Court.
