On October 14, the judges of the Constitutional Court unanimously elected the current Deputy President of the Constitutional Court Sanita Osipova as the President of the Constitutional Court.
Consequently, Sanita Osipova will as well be a member of the Judicial Council.
According to Section 891 of the Law on Judicial Power, the Judicial Council has 15 members – eight permanent members (officials) and seven elected members. The President of the Constitutional Court acts as a permanent member of the Judicial Council.
A permanent member (official) may authorize another person to participate in a meeting of the Judicial Council.
