The Council for the Judiciary supported new policy initiatives for courts 2014-2016, prepared by the Supreme Court and the Ministry of Justice. The Ministry of Justice summarised proposals on development of district (city) courts, regional courts and Land Registry offices, and supplemented list of new policy initiatives by implementation of security system in courts, increase of judges’ salaries and ensuring of competitive wages of court employees, and ensuring of minimum standards of rights, support and protection of victims, i.e., implementation of the Directive on victims. List of priorities of the Supreme Court, in turn, includes ensuring of work of the Disciplinary Court, strengthening of capacity of the Council for the Judiciary, the edition of the collection of rulings by the Supreme Court, and an increase of salaries of judges and employees.  

In accordance with the Regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers, court initiatives must be coordinated with the Council for the Judiciary before they are submitted to the Cabinet for consideration.
