On 22-23 February, a meeting of the Dialogue Group was held in the framework of the project "Independence, Accountability and Quality of the Judiciary" carried out by the European Network of Councils for the Judiciary (ENCJ) in which representatives of the Councils for the Judiciary from the Netherlands, Norway, Hungary and Ireland participated.

The members of the dialogue group analyzed the results of the previous ENCJ surveys, as well as highlighted the topicalities in the field of law in the Member States. The newly elected representatives of the Council for the Judiciary of Hungary, who briefed on improvements and forthcoming gradual reforms in their national legal system, attracted the greatest interest.

The ENCJ representatives used the opportunity to briefly attend the Plenary Session of the Supreme Court in order to get an idea of the work of the Supreme Court, as well as highly appreciated the visit to the Supreme Court Museum.

The visit of ENCJ members to Riga was coordinated by the Secretariat of the Council for the Judiciary.
