Council for the Judiciary supported the appointment of Zemgale Regional Judge Marianna Terjuhana to a position of Vice-Chair of Zemgale Regional Court and Chair of Collegium of Civil Cases for a term of five years.
Marianna Terjuhana has been judge since 1999, judge of regional court - since 2003. Judge has been working in Zemgale District Court since 2010, but during the period from 31 August 2015 until 30 December 2016 she discharged judicial duties at the Chamber of Civil Cases of the Supreme Court during the vacancy period for position of a judge of the Chamber.
The judge is a lecturer at the Judicial Training Center and acts at the Judicial Qualification Committee.
The Council for the Judiciary adopted the decision in a written procedure on 10 April.
