The Council of the Judiciary agreed to transfer the judge Ilze Freimane from Jurmala city court to Riga district court.
The judge applied in competition to vacant judge’s office in Riga district court, and the Judicial Qualification Committee provided positive statement on transfer of the judge.
The Council for the Judiciary adopted the decision in written procedure on 17 March.
