To equalize load of judges among Land Registry Offices, the Council for the Judiciary decided to transfer one office of a judge from the Land Registry Office of Riga district court to the Land Registry Office of Riga city Vidzeme suburb court, as from 1 January 2016.

Therefore, there will be 18 offices of judges in the Land Registry Office of Riga city Vidzeme suburb court, and 13 offices of judges – in the Land Registry Office of Riga district court.  

The Council for the Judiciary also adopted several decisions concerning judicial careers.

The Council determined that Olga Zka, who was appointed to the office of a judge of a district (city) court by the Saeima (Parliament) on 26 November, will discharge judicial duties in Jurmala court house of Riga district court, and the judge Ieva Balina, in her turn, will be transferred from Jurmala court house of Riga district court to Riga district court.  

Judite Maulina, the judge of Jelgava court, will be transferred to the office of a judge of a regional court, and, after confirmation by the Saeima, will discharge judicial duties in Kurzeme regional court.  

Vladislavs Ceraps, the judge of Jekabpils court, is removed from the office of a judge due to state of health.
