Appointment to the office of the chair of a court. The Council for the Judiciary agrees with the proposal of the Minister for Justice to re-appoint judge Iveta Krevica as Chair of Riga City Vidzeme District Court. According to the Law "On Judicial Power", the term of office is five years. Iveta Krevica has been working as a judge since 1992, and has been fulfilling duties of chair of Riga City Vidzeme District Court since 2006.
Transfer of a judge. The Council for the Judiciary transferred judge of Valka District Court Ita Seisuma to Valmiera District Court. Ita Seisuma had applied for a vacant judge's position in Valmiera District Court.
Decisions were made by the Council for the Judiciary in a written procedure on August 25.
