On 5 July, the Council for the Judiciary appointed Sanita Kanenberga to the position of deputy-chair of the Administrative Regional Court. Judge Sanita Kanenberga already previously served as deputy-chair of the Administrative Regional Court.
Four former heads of land registry offices have been appointed deputy-chairs of district (city) courts after integration of land registry offices into district (city) courts: Zanna Zujeva to Riga City Vidzeme District Court, Elga Guitane to Kurzeme District Court, Inara Zarina to Riga District Court, and Juris Taukuls to Daugavpils Court.
Chair of Liepaja Courthouse of Administrative District Court has also been appointed; the Courthouse will continue to be chaired by the current chair of the Courthouse – Kristine Brokane.
One candidate from each court had applied for each position, and by the decision of the Council for the Judiciary they were appointed.
