On June 19, the Council for the Judiciary adopted decisions on the appointment of deputy-chairs in two courts. Judge Ģirts Aizsils has been appointed deputy-chair of Daugavpils Court for five years, while judge Inese Kirsteine has been appointed deputy-chair of the Vidzeme District Court.
Two candidates applied for the position of the deputy-chair of Vidzeme District Court and one candidate for the position of the deputy-chair of Daugavpils Court.
