On August 27 at 15.00, the Council for the Judiciary will hold a press conference to inform about the evaluation of insolvency and legal protection proceedings taken place between 2008 and 2014 and further action.
The press conference will be attended by:
* Ivars Bickovics, Chair of the Council for the Judiciary;
* Anita Zikmane, Head of the Expert Commission, Head of the Division of Case-law and Research of the Supreme Court;
* Aigars Strupiss, Member of the Expert Commission, Judge of the Department of Civil Cases of the Supreme Court;
* Liga Lapina, Head of Judicial Information System Division of the Department of Courts and Land Registers of the Court Administration
The press conference will be held after the meeting of the Council for the Judiciary, in which the reports of the Expert Commission and the Ministry of Justice on insolvency proceedings taken place from 2008 to 2014 will be heard and further action to improve the functioning of the judicial system will be discussed.
