The Council for the Judiciary in the sitting taking place on Monday 17 October will discuss the proposal of the Association of Administrative Judgesof Latvia on submission of an application to the Constitutional Court on the non-compliance of the Section 4, paragraph 9 and Section 61, paragraph 1 (which states the monthly salary of judge) of the Law On Remuneration of Officials and Employees of State and Local Government Authorities with the Section 107 of Satversme (the Constitution) (that implies rights to receive adequate remuneration).
Council for the Judiciary will also discuss the issue of judges' specialization principles and the procedure for determining the work-load, as well as career of judges and other issues.
