The Council for the Judiciary evaluated and supported the priority measures for the land register offices, district (city) courts and regional courts submitted by the Ministry of Justice, the priority interdisciplinary measures of the Ministry of Justice and the priority measures announced by the Supreme Court for 2019-2021.

The supported budget priorities of land register offices, district (city) courts and regional courts include the provision of security in state secret objects, ensuring the protection of the information obtained as a result of operational activities from electronic communications merchants and the renewal of cloud service licenses. There is support for centralization of the judicial authorities in Madona and Jekabpils, for partial relocation of Riga City Pardaugava Court, for ensuring additional premises for Zemgale District Court in Tukums, and for placement of Kurzeme District Court in Ventspils at one address.

There are two interdisciplinary measures announced by the Ministry of Justice, that are also priorities of the Supreme Court: increase of remuneration of judges and prosecutors and increase of remuneration of court employees.

The Cabinet of Ministers, when examining the priorities for next year's budget, hears out the opinion of the Council for the Judiciary.

The Council for the Judiciary adopted the decision in the sitting of 27 August 2018.
