8 November, 2017

The Council for the Judiciary conceptually supported the planned reform by the Ministry of Justice on the integration of the Land Registry Office judges in district (city) courts. It is planned that Land Registry Offices as separate structural units of district (city) courts will cease to exist on 1 January 2019.

The Council for the Judiciary supported the proposal that the specialization of judges of Land Registry Office after the integration would not be limited to certain categories of civil cases, but it would mean full integration – enabling judges of Land Registry Office to fully exercise the responsibilities of judges of general jurisdiction court after the reform.

The conceptually supported reform of the Land Registry Offices will be passed on for the review at the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Council for the Judiciary adopted the decision in the sitting of 27 November 2017 in a written procedure.
