Today, April 19, Aigars Strupišs, the Chair of the Judicial Council, will participate in the Board meeting of the European Network of Councils for the Judiciary (ENCJ), during which is planned to discuss the programme of the ENCJ General Assembly.
It has already been reported that on June 7, 2023, Aigars Strupišs, the Chair of the Judicial Council, was elected to the ENCJ Board as a representative of the Judicial Council of Latvia. Aigars Strupišs shall fulfil his duties as a member of the ENCJ Board until the ENCJ General Assembly takes place in 2025.

The ENCJ unites the national institutions in the member states of the European Union which are independent of the executive and legislature. The purpose of the establishment of ENCJ is to promote the cooperation of the Judicial Councils of the EU member states, the mutual exchange of experience and the analysis of shared information. This year, the ENCJ General Assembly will be held from June 12 to 14 in Rome (Italy).
