The Council for the Judiciary supported transfer of the judge Solvita Cirule from Ogre district court to Riga city Zemgale suburb court and transfer of the judge Maruta Bite from Riga district court to Riga city Kurzeme district court. Judges applied in competition to vacant offices of judges in particular courts.

The Council for the Judiciary instructed Gunta Cepule, the judge of Jelgava court, to discharge judicial duties in Riga city Zemgale suburb court during the temporary absence of a judge.

The Council for the Judiciary determined courts, where judges confirmed by the Saeima (Parliament) will discharge judicial duties: Vita Rusina – in Riga city Latgale suburb court and Ilona Ozolina-Klavina – in Riga district court.

The decision was adopted by the Council for the Judiciary at the sitting of 23 May.
