The Council for the Judiciary supported amendments to the Law "On Judicial Power" by the Ministry of Justice which clarifies the procedure on implementation the function of auditing.

Since to the Ministry of Justice and the Court Administration has already been delegated their functions in respect of which the Internal Audit Law is intended to provide an evaluation of the internal controls, the Ministry believes that the obligation to perform judicial auditing has to be removed from the law "On Judicial Power". The required results can be achieved by auditing the Ministry of Justice and the Court Administration, while in courts just carrying out checks that are already provided by the Ministry and Court Administration.

The Council for the Judiciary reviewed an issue in the sitting of 12 September. See information about all issues reviewed at the sitting here.
